Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled payroll professional to manage full-cycle payroll processes and support HR operations for a manufacturing client in Lanseria. This role includes system administration, compliance, employee support, and process improvement using PaySpace and Jarrison systems.

Requirements

  • Matric + PaySpace Certification (Essential)
  • Diploma or Degree in Payroll Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Experience in a BPO or shared services environment preferred
  • Proven experience as a Payroll or HR Administrator, preferably in manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with PaySpace managing multiple client payrolls
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, V-lookup, and formulas
  • Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with HR systems
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Sound understanding of SARS legislation and statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA)
  • Ability to resolve PAYE and other calculation queries
  • Knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
  • Advanced knowledge of PaySpace features such as batch uploads and reporting
  • Expat payroll knowledge is advantageous
  • Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Process full monthly, fortnightly, and weekly payrolls using PaySpace
  • Capture and audit payroll inputs including hires, terminations, and earnings adjustments
  • Manage Time and Attendance using Jarrison and coordinate approvals with department managers
  • Maintain accurate and current employee records in collaboration with HR
  • Prepare compensation, benefits, and termination documents
  • Serve as System Administrator for payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Support annual salary reviews and salary comparisons
  • Submit payroll outputs including payslips, reports, and third-party payments on time
  • Reconcile and process third-party submissions and payments
  • Manage employee benefits on Momentum, MIBFA, and Discovery portals
  • Handle payroll-related queries and provide excellent service
  • Improve internal processes and support BPO delivery best practices
  • Participate in special projects to enhance payroll functions
  • Maintain client satisfaction and retention
  • Follow up on outstanding payroll-related debtors
  • Provide administrative support for disciplinary hearings and IR processes
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, bargaining councils, and safety policies
  • Keep HR and payroll data confidential
