Sales Intern - Retention Advisor

Job Description

Join our Sales team as a Retention Advisor Intern. You'll manage contract renewals for the medium business segment, supporting customer retention, revenue performance, and relationship management with Sage Business Partners. This hybrid internship focuses on driving digital engagement, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to the company’s cloud migration strategy.

Requirements

• Grade 12 matric certificate
• A commerce qualification preferably in Accounting, Economics or Marketing
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Clear criminal record
• Proactive and motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Excellent communication (both verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to accurately enter and manage sensitive data and confidential matters
• Ability to handle difficult conversations and interactions with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Respond to Business Partner and customer queries within turnaround targets via digital channels
• Deliver revenue performance and operational outcomes aligned with KPIs and budget goals
• Build alliances with Business Partners to facilitate successful 90-day planning for renewals
• Collaborate with sales teams and provide customer insight to identify upsell opportunities
• Align and manage across business lines to deliver value and resolve escalations promptly
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and Business Partners
• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual performance accurately, including risks and opportunities
• Participate in customer nurture campaigns and other related duties
• Support the company’s cloud migration strategy
