Sales Intern: Payroll

Job Description

Join our Midrand-based team as a Sales Intern in Payroll. You’ll support quoting, sales administration, CRM management, and client communications. This hybrid internship exposes you to sales processes, CRM tools, and customer engagement. Gain hands-on experience assisting ASMs with quotations, researching clients, and handling appointment logistics while developing vital skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Grade 12 matric certificate with a pass in accounting
• A commerce qualification preferably in Accounting or Economics
• Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Clear criminal record
• Proactive and motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Excellent communication (both verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Detail-oriented mindset for accuracy and consistency in lead qualification
• Adaptability and a problem-solving mindset in a sales environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support the Customer Service team

Responsibilities

• Search CRM and Salesforce for existing opportunities and manage quotations accordingly
• Open opportunities in Salesforce & CRM, drop quotes, and confirm receipt with the customer
• Notify and load opportunities in Smart Sheets when required
• Forward confirmation emails from Smart Sheets to ASMs for verification
• Confirm or reschedule appointments for Allocated ASMs
• Assist ASMs with quotations under their guidance
• Attend selected sales demos and take minutes during meetings when needed
• Assist with quotations for Runtimes
• Manage Lead Allocations Sheet and Business Partner Allocations Sheet
• Redirect misrouted business queries to appropriate departments
• Load escalation webforms on behalf of clients
• Support ASMs by researching clients and completing Due Diligence forms
