Job Description

Support the software sales team as a technically skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales Intern. Work alongside sales, product, and engineering teams to understand business problems, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and propose technical solutions. You'll be involved in creating proof-of-concepts, engaging in client interactions, and contributing to presales tools and strategy, particularly in the Financial Management and Accounting domain.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 matric certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or BCom in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields of Software and Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Understanding of software solutions such as SaaS, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, or cybersecurity
  • Willingness to travel to onsite visits to Business Partners and Customers
  • Experience with Software and Accounting is preferred
  • Technical certifications (e.g. Sage certifications, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified) is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and propose software solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations based on client requirements
  • Analyze client business processes and align software capabilities to business challenges
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation requests
  • Facilitate the transition from presales to post-sales between sales and technical teams
  • Stay up to date with product developments, competitor solutions, and industry trends
  • Develop presales tools, demo environments, and use cases for customer engagement
  • Provide feedback to product and development teams from customer insights
  • Work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate the Sage Intacct and Cloud Native value propositions clearly
