Policy Development Intern

Job Description

Assist in policy tracking, coordination of advocacy efforts, and drafting legislative and strategic documents through this internship within the policy development unit.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Development Policy, Political Sciences, Economics, Humanities or Social Sciences
• Unemployed graduate between the age of 18 and 35
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Detail orientation
• Self-Motivated
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Willingness and ability to learn
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor legislative and policy developments
• Identify stakeholders and networks for engagement
• Coordinate internal policy advocacy initiatives
• Draft legislative and policy documents
• Compile monthly and quarterly policy reports
