Job Description

The University of the Witwatersrand is seeking a Lecturer in Economics to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Econometrics and international finance, with a focus on firm-level analysis. Requirements

  • Coursework Master’s degree in Economics with an excellent academic record
  • Teaching experience in Econometrics
  • Teaching experience in international finance
  • Proficiency in R
  • Ability to teach Econometrics using R Statistical Software
  • Research focus grounded in firm-level analysis (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in research
  • Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  • Participate actively in the running of the School through administration and academic citizenship activities
