Job Description

Join Sage’s Transformation team as an intern supporting B-BBEE compliance initiatives, monitoring scorecard elements, and participating in projects aligned with transformation and development strategies. This hybrid role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise development, procurement processes, skills planning, and audit preparation.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 matric certificate
  • Completed degree or national diploma in HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Entrepreneur Management
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • No criminal record
  • Strong administration skills
  • Effective project management ability
  • Proactive attitude with strong motivation to learn and grow
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Accuracy in managing sensitive data and handling confidential matters
  • Ability to engage in difficult conversations with colleagues
  • Availability to join on 1st October 2025 for a 12-month internship
  • Willingness to complete an online assessment, video interview, and attend an Assessment Centre

Responsibilities

  • Collate quarterly B-BBEE reports for presentation to EXCO members and divisions
  • Refine and update standard procedures in alignment with latest legislation
  • Assist in training employees and managers on B-BBEE scorecard components
  • Generate and distribute preferential procurement reports monthly
  • Oversee and manage the BEE123 system
  • Support procurement manager when needed
  • Assist in managing CSR projects
  • Prepare Employment Equity reports and coordinate EE submissions with HR
  • Contribute to skills development initiatives including training and graduate programmes
  • Assist with Work Skills Plan reporting
  • Identify and help develop black-owned business opportunities
  • Coordinate and support audit and verification processes with agencies
  • Track and monitor B-BBEE data and ensure proper record keeping
