Job Description

Coordinate and manage all HR functions across MSG Afrika Broadcasting group. This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance with labour laws, and alignment of HR practices with strategic business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous
  • 5–7 years generalist HR experience, including 3+ years in middle management
  • Experience in media, broadcasting, or fast-paced creative environments is beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, EEA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
  • Own transport required

Responsibilities

  • Implement HR policies aligned with group strategy
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, and exit
  • Maintain HR records and ensure legal compliance
  • Oversee recruitment processes and support workforce planning
  • Drive diversity and inclusion in hiring
  • Coordinate performance management and improvement plans
  • Support succession planning and high-potential talent identification
  • Address HR queries, grievances, and disciplinary issues
  • Attend to CCMA and legal matters when required
  • Coordinate training needs analysis and manage delivery of training
  • Track training outcomes and maintain records
  • Generate monthly and quarterly HR reports
  • Track metrics such as turnover and absenteeism
  • Lead HR compliance audits and corrective actions
  • Promote ethical and compliant HR practices
