Requirements

• 0–1+ years of experience in any Data Science role
• Master’s degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or physics
• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience with Git or GitHub
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• AWS experience (ideal)

Responsibilities

• Drive Capitec's AI strategy within the business improvement, optimization, and automation team
• Design and implement predictive models and intelligent algorithms
• Support critical functions like fraud detection, credit risk assessment, and transaction classification
• Apply deep learning and data science principles for effective decision-making
• Design solutions and experiments for model development
• Deploy predictive modeling techniques
• Utilize source control systems such as Git or Bitbucket for robust development
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business objectives
