Credit Intelligence Analyst II

Job Description

Capitec Bank is seeking a Credit Intelligence Analyst II to join the Credit Client Account Management team. This role focuses on existing credit clients and covers a wide range of areas across the credit life cycle. The position involves leading key strategies and client experience initiatives to ensure clients receive the support they need to manage their credit effectively, with a strong focus on analytical output and statistical modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Statistics
• A relevant post graduate degree in Finance or Statistics (Ideal or Preferred)
• 4 - 6 years’ experience in retail credit analysis (including programming in SQL / SAS / R / Python, descriptive and diagnostic analytics, statistical modelling, and data visualisation)
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in retail credit analysis with an Honours degree (including SQL programming and descriptive analytics)
• Experience with credit intelligence performance and optimisation
• Experience in assuming a leadership role during a project (Ideal)
• Portfolio specific experience (Ideal)
• Capitec Bank experience (Ideal)

Responsibilities

• Assume end-to-end responsibility for a credit intelligence workstream
• Lead and guide the delivery of complex analytical output
• Lead the identification, development, implementation and maintenance of new credit intelligence strategies and solutions
• Address business problems relative to credit intelligence workstream
• Build and maintain new statistical models to inform credit intelligence decision making
• Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior team members
