Job Description

Join KPMG’s Pan-Africa Infrastructure Advisory team focused on delivering sustainable infrastructure projects across the continent. The graduate programme offers experience in infrastructure project lifecycle stages, supporting public and private sector clients, development partners, financiers, and developers to close Africa's infrastructure gap.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree such as Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commercial, or Financial fields
  • Post graduate qualifications considered an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical skills for project management aspects including scope, time, cost, quality, and technical performance standards
  • Ability to work in project teams with diverse stakeholders across public and private sectors
  • Goal-driven and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions respecting cultural diversity
  • Resilience and tenacity to maintain motivation and manage difficult client interactions
  • Administrative skills to support portfolio engagements and practice management
  • Strong interpersonal skills for business development and client relationship management
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Highest standards of ethics and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of infrastructure solutions across all stages of project lifecycle including strategy, development, procurement, financing, construction, operations, and investment
  • Assist in day-to-day engagement delivery across infrastructure sub-sectors such as transport, power, utilities, social infrastructure, and real estate
  • Conduct research, quantitative data collection and analysis, financial modelling, and project management
  • Apply methodologies to achieve client objectives
  • Contribute to project strategy and development analysis including infrastructure planning, feasibility, business case and market analysis
  • Participate in procurement options analysis, project risk assessment, governance, and management frameworks
  • Support contract management and collaboration with legal, financial, and technical teams
  • Advise on project implementation focusing on engineering and quantity surveying functions
  • Assist with project controls including schedule and cost management
  • Engage with various clients including public sector, state-owned entities, development partners, financiers, and project developers
