ADT Operator (Bredasdorp)

Job Description

Afrimat is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious ADT Operator to join their team in Bredasdorp. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience operating an ADT machine and be proficient in following strict safety protocols. This role requires an individual who can work under pressure, day or night shifts, and is knowledgeable about the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid ADT operator’s certificate
• Be literate and functionally numerate
• 3-5 years’ experience as an ADT Operator
• Experience in working in remote mining sites and in a cross-cultural working environment
• Knowledgeable of Mine Health and Safety Act requirements
• Able to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to safely work, day and night shifts on a rotational basis
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely Operate an ADT machine to Load / move materials as instructed
• Perform required inspection and basic maintenance of ADT to ensure safe operating condition of the ADT
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain accurate records of ADT activities and report any safety concerns or equipment issues
• Prepare accesses, work areas and surfaces
• Remain vigilant to avoid potential safety hazards when operating the machine
• Keep the machine clean and fill up with fuel and grease as required
• General work on site when required (none operating)
