Job Description

Rola Motor Group is seeking a Qualified Motor Technician for their Volvo dealership in Somerset West. The successful candidate will be a Volvo Personal Service Technician, handling vehicle diagnosis, repair, and servicing for the Volvo range. In addition to technical duties, this role includes service advisor responsibilities, requiring strong customer interaction and a commitment to maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proof of Qualification as Technician (Trade Test/Red Seal)
• Min Grade 12
• Unendorsed Drivers Licence
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (Volvo brand advantageous)
• Computer Literate
• Successful demonstration of competency
• Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Solid knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic machines
• Excellent customer orientation

Responsibilities

• Own the customer experience from booking to service, repair, and handover.
• Support the front-of-house team and provide coverage in their absence.
• Keep customer satisfaction reporting at the forefront of all interactions.
• Interact with customers to understand their concerns and provide updates on progress.
• Complete fault investigations using diagnostic processes.
• Complete service, maintenance, and repair activities in alignment with the manufacturer’s standards.
• Complete work in a safe, environmentally friendly, and economical way.
• Build, develop, and share technical knowledge, including coaching.
• Comply with service/repair processes and standards as defined by the retailer/manufacturer.
• Identify any outstanding safety recalls, modifications, or service actions.
• Support activities associated with quality processes and process improvement.
• Support other roles in the aftersales team as required.
