Our client is searching for a highly driven and adaptable Key Account Sales Representative to join their team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-oriented individual, ready to make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • A national diploma or degree in Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A recognized wine certification (e.g., Cape Wine Academy or Wine & Spirit) is considered advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a strong preference for background in the liquor industry.
  • Possession of a clean, unendorsed driver’s license and ownership of a reliable vehicle.
  • Solid understanding of market and product categories relevant to the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong sales skills to prospect, negotiate, and close deals, while identifying new opportunities and building relationships with customers to promote product support.
  • Manage client accounts by understanding their needs, developing strategic plans, and implementing tactics to maximize sales, increase market share, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, effectively articulating their commercial benefits and value propositions to clients.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to remain competitive and discover new business opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify growth areas, evaluate account performance, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key accounts through regular communication and excellent customer service to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer information, implement tactical KPIs, and capture all trade insights and activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience, and be open to learning and applying new sales techniques to stay ahead in the market.
  • Employ excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interactions and negotiations, tailoring your approach to different segments and persuading clients clearly.
  • Be responsible for the daily management of the sales merchandising agency.
