Job Description

Rola Motor Group is looking for a qualified Motor Technician to join their team in Somerset West. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a variety of vehicles, with a specific focus on the Honda brand. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with proven technical ability and excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience from drop-off to handover.

Requirements

• Proof of Qualification as Technician (Trade Test/Red Seal)
• Min Grade 12
• Unendorsed Drivers Licence
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (Honda brand advantageous)
• Computer Literate
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans will be advantageous
• Successful demonstration of competency
• Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Solid knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic machines
• Excellent customer orientation

Responsibilities

• Own the customer experience from service/repair to handover.
• Keep customer satisfaction reporting at the forefront of all interactions.
• Interact with customers to understand their concerns, symptoms, and the progress of the work.
• Complete fault investigations using diagnostic processes.
• Complete service, maintenance, and repair activities in line with the manufacturer's standards.
• Complete work in a safe, environmentally friendly, and economical way.
• Build, develop, and share technical knowledge, including coaching others.
• Comply with service/repair processes and standards as defined by the retailer/manufacturer.
• Identify any outstanding safety recalls, modifications, or service actions.
• Support activities related to quality processes and process improvement.
• Support other roles in the aftersales team as required.
