Job Description

As the Skin & Make Up Education Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in strategically enhancing the expertise of our beauty advisors. Your focus will be on delivering comprehensive education in both advanced skincare and refined makeup artistry. You will develop sophisticated training programs that blend scientific principles with artistic techniques, ensuring our advisors can provide elevated client experiences that reinforce our brand's authority in the luxury beauty space.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetology, Aesthetics, a dermatology-related field, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Specialized certifications in makeup artistry are considered highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in skincare or makeup education within the beauty or luxury industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering large-scale or national-level training programs.
  • A proven track record as a recognized subject matter expert in skincare and/or makeup.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have your own vehicle.
  • Deep, comprehensive understanding of skin anatomy, active ingredients, and advanced makeup techniques.
  • Proven ability to design engaging educational content that integrates skincare and makeup principles.
  • Proficiency in instructional design, e-learning, and creating video content.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to plan long-term educational goals.
  • Creative and innovative approach to beauty education.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and content accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and update national training and learning pathways for skincare and makeup artistry.
  • Lead and facilitate high-level masterclasses, workshops, and large-scale training events.
  • Serve as the primary expert and resource for skincare and makeup knowledge within the company.
  • Provide expert guidance to Regional Cross-Category Trainers on complex products, techniques, and trends.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Field Teams to align training content with brand strategies.
  • Continuously research global skincare science, makeup trends, and competitor activities to keep training current.
  • Develop compelling and visually rich educational content, including digital modules, video tutorials, and technical guides.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of national training programs and implement improvements based on performance data.
  • Potentially represent L'Oréal Luxe at industry events or media engagements as a skincare or makeup expert.
