Job Description
As a Regional Medical Area Manager, you will step into a pivotal leadership role at the forefront of medical expertise and brand advocacy in the dermocosmetics field. You will lead and develop a team of medical representatives, driving them to build strong, credible relationships with dermatologists, GPs, pharmacists, and other key healthcare professionals. This strategic position requires you to implement our medical detailing strategy, analyze performance, and foster engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance our scientific credibility and drive product adoption.
Requirements
- A PhD, MSc, or BSc degree in a related scientific field or a relevant degree such as Pharmacy.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Medical Sales.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
- Experience within the dermatology or dermocosmetics sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working with a diverse portfolio of brands and adapting strategies to various environments.
Responsibilities
- Roll out the regional medical strategy and ensure its operational monitoring.
- Implement a detailed action plan that aligns with the overall brand and medical detailing strategy.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative performance dashboards, interpret results, and implement corrective actions.
- Deploy the dispensing strategy effectively in the field.
- Allocate resources efficiently to optimize return on investment (ROI).
- Manage, lead, and motivate the team to achieve excellence in medical detailing.
- Guide the professional development of medical representatives through continuous assessment of their scientific and product knowledge.
- Monitor and drive the team's action plans at a regional level.
- Develop local medical relations initiatives to build scientific credibility with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Identify local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and propose them to the Medical Relations Manager.
- Monitor professional relationships with KOLs and institutional partners.
- Coordinate the organization of and participation in medical congresses.
- Ensure strong collaboration with headquarter-based teams including marketing, sales, and digital.
- Promote synergy with commercial teams to increase product sell-out.
- Conduct competitive and environmental monitoring related to medical activity and report findings to headquarters.
- Ensure the team is trained on and adheres to all internal and external ethical standards.
