Job Description

Primedia Broadcasting is looking for a Programmatic Specialist to manage and optimise programmatic advertising across its platforms. The position focuses on agency relations, campaign performance, reporting, and evaluating new technologies in the programmatic space. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive revenue growth through operational excellence. Employment Equity principles apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, advertising, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in programmatic advertising, preferably in digital radio, video, or display advertising sectors
  • Strong understanding of programmatic platforms such as Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Google Ad Manager, and other SSPs
  • Familiarity with RTB (real-time bidding) processes
  • Computer literacy including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and shifting priorities under pressure
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of media buying strategies and the digital advertising ecosystem
  • Analytical mindset for trend identification and campaign optimization
  • Certification in programmatic advertising or digital marketing (Google Ads, IAB, etc.) is advantageous
  • Experience with cross-platform campaign management (radio and display) is advantageous
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying is advantageous
  • Experience building dashboards with Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise programmatic campaigns across platforms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key buying agencies to enable preferred deals and strategic partnerships
  • Monitor and refine campaign performance to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Generate accurate and actionable reports on programmatic trends and performance
  • Identify and evaluate new programmatic strategies and technologies to support business growth
