Job Description

The Limpopo Department of Health offers 152 pharmacist internship positions in various public hospitals and facilities across Limpopo. The internship provides practical training in line with South African Pharmacy Council requirements. The anticipated start date is March 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or latest academic results from university
• Registration as a Pharmacy student with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• South African citizenship
• Completed and signed Z83 application form
• Comprehensive CV
• Certified ID copy
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
• Good report presentation and computer literacy
• Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act (No. 53 of 1974) and Medicines and Related Substances Act (No. 101 of 1965)
• Strong record-keeping skills

Responsibilities

• Provide services or acts within the scope of a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) under direct supervision
• Perform duties under guidance of a registered pharmacist for education and training purposes
• Comply with facility and regulatory requirements during internship
