Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Community Education and Training branch, is seeking Graduate Interns for a 24-month fixed-term contract in the KwaZulu Natal CET College. The role supports financial, administrative, and IT tasks at the eThekwini office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Requirements

• National diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting, Internal Audit, Public Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, Public Management and Technology, Marketing, Development Studies, Management Assistant, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Labour Law, or Business Management
• N6 certificate in Financial Management, Public Management, or Management Assistant
• No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
• All qualifications subject to verification
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
• Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting

• Assist in financial, administrative, and IT tasks for CET college operations
• Support coordination of office and financial activities
• Compile reports and documentation for college processes
• Maintain records for administrative and financial tasks
• Collaborate with teams on college initiatives
