Junior Business Analyst

Job Description

As a Junior Business Analyst at Telesure Investment Holdings, you’ll contribute to driving operational, tactical, and strategic success within a leading South African financial services group. Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
• 1-2 years of general business experience (Essential)
• Experience working in the financial services industry (Advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, analysis, and descriptive work for internal customers at operational, tactical, and strategic levels with guidance
• Investigate and analyze business ideas, needs, and problems using frameworks, syntaxes, and standard methods
• Develop models, processes, documents, and reports to ensure efficiencies with help from senior colleagues
• Identify stakeholders, understand their needs, issues, or concerns, and support the communication of business information and decisions
• Maintain fulfilment relationships and translate discussions between business and fulfilment areas with guidance
• Collect business requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, expressing requirements in terms of target user roles and goals
• Describe business requirements, processes, and data in an agreed format following standard methods
• Explore issues or needs, establishing potential causes, barriers, and related issues
• Document 'as is' and 'to be' processes and describe changes required to achieve the 'to be' capability
• Review existing operations and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements
• Carry out feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to business case development
• Influence discussions about solutions, projects, and initiatives based on analysis of relevant business domains with guidance
• Develop own capabilities through assessment, development planning, formal and informal training, and coaching
