Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach

Job Description

The Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach will support the Bishops Sports Performance and Wellness programme at the Prep school. The role involves assisting Biokineticists and Strength and Conditioning coaches with developing, coordinating, executing, and managing fundamental skills and physical activity programmes, conducting sports-specific testing, and implementing on-field conditioning sessions for learners.

Requirements

• Sport-related degree or advanced qualification in Strength and Conditioning
• Previous experience working with young children advantageous
• Passion for physical activity, fundamental movement skills, and sports
• Commitment to promoting holistic learner development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently
• Strong administration skills and time management
• Inclusive learning – ability to create unique, captivating lessons

Responsibilities

• Support Biokineticist and Strength and Conditioning coaches in programme development and execution
• Assist in implementation of Prep physical literacy and on-field conditioning sessions
• Conduct sports-specific testing to assess and improve learners’ athletic capabilities
• Coordinate and manage approved fundamental skills and physical activity programmes
• Contribute to holistic learner development and support inclusive learning practices
• Maintain records and perform administrative tasks related to programmes
