This is a fixed-term contract opportunity for a recent graduate to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will gain valuable experience by ensuring the accurate and timely execution of GBS services. You will be actively involved in transactional processing, query resolution, reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that optimize our processes and systems. This is an excellent entry point for a motivated graduate to develop a career in a global company.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral English.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A completed Degree, BTECH, or National Diploma in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities align with and comply with internal controls, including the South32 Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
- Monitor your allocated scope of work to ensure data is captured regularly and reliably for reporting purposes.
- Drive initiatives to improve the performance of the sub-function by optimizing existing processes and systems.
- Produce, maintain, and analyze relevant operational and management reports.
- Manage transactional processing and resolve queries in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Develop supportive relationships with team members and promote operational discipline.
- Assist with the timely distribution of work and re-prioritization of tasks as required.
- Identify and recommend improvement initiatives for existing processes, practices, and systems.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for local operating procedures.
