King Cetshwayo District Municipality in Richards Bay is offering a Finance Treasury Internship opportunity. This programme is designed for final-year students or graduates aged 18-35 to gain hands-on experience in treasury operations, managing cash flow, and supporting financial planning and liquidity management within a municipal context.

Requirements

• Age between 18 and 35 years
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Final-year students or graduates with coursework in treasury, cash management, or public finance preferred
• Basic understanding of financial systems (e.g., Excel)
• Strong analytical skills
• Certified copies of educational qualifications
• Certified copy of Identity Document
• Signed proof of residence by the respective Ward Councillor

Responsibilities

• Monitor budgets and financial plans
• Assist in cash and treasury management
• Support financial reporting in line with municipal regulations
• Prepare documentation for financial processes
• Collaborate with treasury team on liquidity management
• Participate in training and mentorship programmes
• Contribute to municipal financial planning initiatives
