Enrolled Nurse

Job Description

Momentum Metropolitan Holdings is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide compassionate and professional nursing care in accordance with South African Nursing Council standards. This role involves maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, managing medical documentation, and supporting patient care through accurate clinical practices. Requirements

• National Senior Certificate
• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse
• 2 – 3 years’ proven working experience as an Enrolled Nurse
• MS Office / Office 365 proficiency

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical documentation is accurately maintained and available for retrieval
• Ensure stock is charged appropriately, well controlled, and managed
• Ensure awareness of conditions affecting employee safety
• Adhere to medical waste management principles
• Ensure correct use, cleaning, and storage of equipment
• Report equipment needing repair or replacement, as well as potential and actual risks
• Maintain a therapeutic, clean, and safe environment through good infection control practices
• Perform, interpret, record, and report vital signs
• Conduct wound dressing and remove wound sutures and clips
• Assist doctors and professional nurses when necessary
• Collect various laboratory specimens and update the register
• Administer injections for indicated patients, family planning injectables, and intravenous infusions
• Issue and record chronic medication
• Compile daily observations data
