Job Description

Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) is seeking ATCO1, ATCO2, and ATCO3 Approach and Area Controllers to provide air traffic control services, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft operations. The role involves managing air traffic, providing flight information, and maintaining operational standards in accordance with ICAO and ATNS procedures.

Requirements

• Valid ATCO1, ATCO2, or ATCO3 Approach and Area rating
• At least 2 years’ experience as an Aerodrome/Approach/Area Controller

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency/validation for the rating held
• Maintain a valid Class 3 medical
• Complete a minimum of two performance assessments annually
• Comply with published duty rosters and be available for call-out duties
• Comply with Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and local regulations
• Control air traffic per prescribed standards and procedures
• Set up and check surveillance, navigation, and communication equipment
• Prevent collisions between aircraft
• Expedite and maintain safe and orderly air traffic flow
• Provide advice and information for safe flight conduct
• Control traffic within designated airspace
• Coordinate with other ATS units/sectors
• Maintain electronic flight progress displays
• Assist aircraft in emergency or distress
• Report incidents and accidents with relevant documentation
• Provide meteorological and other flight information
• Maintain continuous watch on communication channels
• Relay equipment and navigation aid serviceability reports
• Comply with Station Standing Instructions
• Provide On-The-Job Training Instruction where qualified
• Maintain medical and proficiency standards
• Maintain operational administration per company demands
