Accountant

Job Description

Worldwide Positions is seeking a hands-on Accountant to manage full-function accounting duties. The role includes balance sheet reconciliations, payroll administration, statutory returns, month-end journals, intercompany billing, and liaising with auditors.

Requirements

• B.Comm Accounting or Financial Accounting degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of inter-company accounts
• Proficiency with SAGE accounting software (non-negotiable)
• Experience in full-function accounting including VAT, PAYE, EMP501, and provisional tax
• Competence in generating management reports and liaising with auditors
• Own transport and valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Manage intercompany loan accounts and billing
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and cashbook maintenance
• Administer payroll and statutory returns
• Prepare and post month-end journals
• Handle foreign payments and tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, EMP501)
• Compile management reports and maintain creditor/debtor records
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations
