Job Description
FNB seeks a Wealth Manager to deliver financial advice and support focusing on investments for high income clients. The role requires formulating financial proposals, achieving sales targets, reviewing client plans, and ensuring compliance. This is for building a talent pool for future vacancies.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree in Investment or Economics
- Certified Financial Planner qualification preferred
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Wealth Manager with advisory and sales to high income clients
- FAIS Cat 1 experience preferred including Long-Term Insurance B1, Long-Term Insurance C, Retail Pension Benefits, Shares, Money Market Instruments, Bonds, Collective Investment Schemes, Forex Investments, Long-term and Short-term Deposits, Structured Deposits, Hedge Funds
- FAIS Cat 2 advantage: Long-Term Insurance C, Retail Pension Benefits, Shares, Money Market Instruments, Bonds, CIS, Forex Investments, Long-Term and Short-Term Deposits, Structured Deposits, Hedge Funds
- Credit record check required according to the National Credit Act
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, FNB compliance policies, and industry best practices
- Expertise in FirstRand product portfolio, application, and processing procedures
Responsibilities
- Formulate proposals in cash management, risk needs, investment planning, estate planning to meet client financial goals
- Achieve sales targets by identifying advisory opportunities on FirstRand investment and risk products
- Investigate investment opportunities compatible with client financial plans
- Review client financial plans regularly considering life changes and economic factors
- Provide reports on service delivery against SLAs and customer targets
- Ensure quality and consistency of advice aligned to FNB’s investment philosophy and product matrix
- Contribute to competitive edge through networking and representation on related forums
- Achieve gross production targets indicated in scorecard
- Educate customers on products and services to retain customers and grow revenue
- Advise and support effective resolution of customer queries to ensure satisfaction
- Analyze client financial information to develop financial plans using correct tools
- Provide input to reporting, decision making, and identifying improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements
- Contribute to governance and compliance process development and risk identification
- Ensure optimal usage and protection of business assets
- Engage in cross-functional activities and collaborate with stakeholders
- Maintain and build relationships for expectation management, knowledge sharing, and integration
