Requirements
- Relevant Degree in Investment or Economics
- Certified Financial Planner qualification preferred
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Wealth Manager with advisory and sales to high income clients
- Experience with the following FAIS Cat 1 subcategories: 1.3 Long-Term Insurance B1, 1.4 Long-Term Insurance C, 1.5 Retail Pension Benefits, 1.8 Shares, 1.9 Money Market Instruments, 1.12 Bonds, 1.14 Collective Investment Schemes, 1.15 Forex Investments, 1.17 Long-term Deposits, 1.18 Short-term Deposits, 1.20 Long-Term Insurance B2, 1.21 Long-Term Insurance B2-A, 1.22 Long-Term Insurance B1-A, 1.24 Structured Deposits, 1.26 Hedge Funds
- Advantageous to have experience with FAIS Cat 2 subcategories: 2.2 Long-Term Insurance C, 2.3 Retail Pension Benefits, 2.5 Shares, 2.6 Money Market Instruments, 2.9 Bonds, 2.11 CIS, 2.12 Forex Investments, 2.13 Long-Term Deposits, 2.14 Short-Term Deposits, 2.18 Structured Deposits, 2.20 Hedge Funds
- Credit record check required as per the National Credit Act
- Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislation, FNB compliance, and industry best practices
- Expertise in FirstRand product portfolio, application and processing procedures
Responsibilities
- Formulate proposals in cash management, investment planning, estate planning, and risk needs to meet client goals
- Achieve sales targets by identifying advisory opportunities across investment and risk products
- Investigate investment opportunities suitable for client financial plans
- Review client financial plans based on life, economic, or market changes
- Deliver reports tracking service performance against SLAs and customer targets
- Ensure quality and consistency of advice in line with FNB's philosophy and product matrix
- Represent FNB in industry forums and maintain a competitive edge through networking
- Drive customer retention through product education and service delivery
- Support and resolve client queries to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
- Analyze client financial data to create proposals using appropriate tools
- Provide input for reporting, decision making, and improvement identification
- Comply with all legal, statutory, and governance requirements
- Contribute to the development and implementation of governance and compliance processes
- Protect and optimize the use of business assets
- Engage in cross-functional activities and foster collaboration with stakeholders
- Maintain and grow stakeholder relationships for integration and knowledge sharing
