Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Technical Vocational Education and Training branch, is seeking a Graduate Intern for a 24-month fixed-term contract in TVET College Budget Planning and Management. The role supports financial and administrative tasks at the Pretoria Head Office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Requirements

• National diploma or Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing, Public Administration, or Office Management
• No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
• All qualifications subject to verification
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
• Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting

Responsibilities

• Assist in budget planning and financial management for TVET colleges
• Support administrative tasks for budgeting processes
• Compile reports and documentation for financial activities
• Maintain records for budget management
• Collaborate with teams on financial planning initiatives
• Provide administrative support for budgeting operations
