Technical Support Specialist I (6-month contract)

Job Description

Capitec Bank is hiring a Technical Support Specialist I for a 6-month contract. The role involves providing comprehensive 2nd Tier technical support to Capitec Bank branches and 1st Tier support to campus environments. The specialist will be responsible for resolving technical queries, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring smooth operations within agreed-upon service level agreements.

Requirements

• Certification in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - Technical Support
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Ideal or Preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an IT service and technical support delivery capacity
• IT Branch support experience (or Branch champion experience for internal candidates)
• Basic hardware, software and network support experience
• 2+ years of experience in an IT service delivery capacity (Ideal)
• Working in a service / client engagement environment (Ideal)
• Knowledge of client care and service protocol
• Knowledge of basic hardware, software and network support principles
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of banking systems (Ideal)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive 2nd Tier technical support to Capitec Bank branches
• Provide 1st Tier technical support to campus environments
• Promptly address and resolve technical queries while adhering to service level agreements
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues
• Ensure a seamless and efficient operation for Capitec Bank and its stakeholders
