Job Description

MAN Automotive (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG in Germany, manufactures medium, heavy, and extra-heavy trucks, commuter buses, and luxury coaches. The Team Leader role will oversee workshop operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, training, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 Matric Certificate
• N3 with a trade test certificate as an Auto Electrician/Diesel Mechanic
• EC or EC1 driver’s licence
• Strong diagnostic abilities
• Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal relations skills
• Customer-focused with a results-driven approach
• Pro-active, highly motivated, and attentive to detail
• Ability to work independently while being a team player
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain good customer relations
• Trade Certificate experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry - 5 years

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive productivity and efficiency to achieve set targets
• Ensure achievement of sold hours target
• Minimize rectifications through continuous improvement of workmanship
• Plan and manage workshop loading
• Supervise and ensure training of staff in the workshop
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
