Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Planning, Policy and Strategy branch, is seeking a Graduate Intern for a 24-month fixed-term contract in Social Inclusion and Quality. The role supports office administration at the Pretoria Head Office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Requirements

  • National diploma in Office Administration, Public Management, or Office Management and Technology
  • No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
  • All qualifications subject to verification
  • Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
  • Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for social inclusion programs
  • Assist in managing office operations and records
  • Support coordination of quality assurance initiatives
  • Prepare reports and documentation for projects
  • Collaborate with teams on administrative tasks
  • Ensure compliance with office management protocols
