Job Description

PERI is looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to manage their business within a defined area in Nelspruit. This role involves maintaining and building new customer trading relationships to grow PERI's market share. Key responsibilities include managing the entire sales process, from acquiring new clients and analyzing project drawings to providing cost-effective formwork solutions and meeting financial targets.

Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Trained in Selling Skills
  • Experience in selling within the Construction Industry
  • Good experience in all aspects of Formwork and scaffolding solutions
  • Drive and ambition
  • Good communication and social skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Objective-orientated
  • Strong work ethic, open and reliable
  • Good organisational skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers are dealt with professionally and efficiently in the yard.
  • Apply the PERI Sales Way process to identify new customers and manage the existing portfolio.
  • Retain customers and secure relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Analyze the geographical sector and acquire new clients by demonstrating knowledge of PERI products.
  • Acquire and track a detailed pipeline of all available projects to maximize growth potential.
  • Close deals effectively, communicating clear payment terms and evaluating customer creditworthiness.
  • Provide customers with relevant information and arrange site and other necessary training.
  • Meet and exceed financial targets by managing financial, technical, legal, commercial, and logistical problems.
  • Accurately forecast rental and sales figures and update the CRM system daily.
  • Measure profitability by customer and effectively plan time accordingly.
  • Analyze drawings and develop preliminary concepts for formwork and shoring solutions.
  • Create quotes off quantity lists, submit tenders, and follow up to win business.
  • Manage projects effectively from client request to payment of invoices.
  • Take responsibility to strip sites when non-payment issues cannot be resolved.
  • Continually improve industry, product, and competitor knowledge.
  • Accurately populate the CRM on a regular basis with new projects.
