Job Description

Absa Group is looking for a Relationship Executive to manage a portfolio of Growth Account clients in Komatipoort. The role includes acquiring new business, cross-selling to existing clients, and managing relationships with medium to high complexity commercial banking requirements. This position requires strong risk assessment, compliance awareness, and active collaboration with internal teams to drive performance and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies
• Professional qualifications relevant to the financial sector
• Proven experience managing complex commercial banking clients
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance environments
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Willingness to travel for regular client visits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with sound risk assessment capabilities
• Ability to contribute to product development based on client needs
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, feedback-driven team culture

Responsibilities

• Drive financial growth targets through client acquisition and cross-selling
• Maintain ownership of a portfolio of Growth Account clients
• Develop and strengthen client relationships through regular engagements
• Conduct client visits according to the Commercial Growth Account Value Proposition
• Identify and contribute to product improvements aligned to client needs
• Manage risk and ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory policies
• Support the team environment through knowledge sharing and collaboration
• Challenge existing processes and recommend improvements where necessary
