Join National Brands Limited (NBL) at our Rosslyn Snacks Factory in Pretoria, Gauteng, and contribute to producing South Africa’s iconic snacks, including Willards chips, Big Korn Bites, and Cheese Curls. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing exposure to food safety, quality control, and production standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll engage in sensory evaluation, packaging quality assurance, and new product development (NPD) trials, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and personal growth.

Requirements

• A 2-year National Diploma in Food Technology, requiring only 1-year in-service training to complete studies
• Computer literacy with ability to perform data reporting and analyses
• Ability to work irregular hours
• Leadership skills
• Good verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct sensory evaluation and quality checks on snack products
• Perform packaging quality assurance to meet production standards
• Participate in new product development (NPD) project trials
• Engage in food safety protocols and compliance activities
• Handle incoming laboratory samples for quality testing
• Contribute to quality systems and process improvements
• Collaborate with quality assurance professionals and other teams
• Provide analytical reporting on quality metrics
• Identify and address quality deviations through root cause analysis
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world factory settings
