Graduate Intern and WIL Student - Open Learning (IT and Management)

Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Planning, Policy and Strategy branch, is seeking Graduate Interns and WIL Students for a 24-month fixed-term contract in Open Learning. The role supports IT and administrative tasks at the Pretoria Head Office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Requirements

• National diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences
• N6 certificate in Management Assistant
• No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
• All qualifications subject to verification
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
• Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing IT solutions for open learning platforms
• Support administrative tasks for open learning programs
• Maintain records and databases for learning systems
• Collaborate with teams on IT and administrative projects
• Provide technical and administrative support
• Ensure compliance with IT and administrative protocols
