Machine Operator - Flat Bag and SO Bag Machines

Worldwide Positions is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to run SO and Flat Bag machines within the flexo packaging manufacturing industry. The role requires strong technical knowledge and hands-on ability with bag machines that include integrated printers. The position offers a permanent opportunity based in Durban.

Requirements

• Qualified and experienced flexo machine operator
• Solid experience on SO and Flat Bag machines in the flexo packaging manufacturing industry
• Experience operating bag machines with integrated printers in the flexo printing sector
• Ability to assist with designing print set up procedures
• Competence in plate mounting
• Ability to change reels efficiently
• Understanding of colour matching techniques
• Skilled in tension control
• Knowledge of print/ink sequences
• Familiar with selecting appropriate Anilox rolls
• Able to start immediately

Responsibilities

• Operate SO and Flat Bag machines in a flexo packaging manufacturing environment
• Support printing processes including setup, colour control, and reel changes
• Maintain production quality and machine performance
• Collaborate with team on design setup and press runs
