Graduate Intern - International Relations

Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Planning, Policy and Strategy branch, is seeking a Graduate Intern for a 24-month fixed-term contract in International Relations. The role supports international collaboration and policy initiatives at the Pretoria Head Office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Requirements

• BA degree in International Relations, Political Science, or Developmental Studies
• No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
• All qualifications subject to verification
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
• Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating international partnership programs
• Support research on global education policies
• Prepare reports and presentations for international initiatives
• Maintain records of international collaboration activities
• Collaborate with teams on strategic planning
• Provide administrative support for international relations
