The Foschini Group is recruiting an Intern Buyer to support buying administration, research emerging styles, collaborate with planning and marketing teams, and contribute to product selections. This opportunity is suited to individuals with a passion for retail buying and offers exposure within a leading retail group.
Requirements
- Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Retail Business Management, or related field
- Keen interest in pursuing a career as a Retail Buyer
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Passion for learning and a proactive approach to acquiring new knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in risk assessments and documentation
- Good interpersonal communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Ability to leverage new technology to enhance productivity and problem solving
Responsibilities
- Assist in buying administration including order creation, amendments, and sample management
- Liaise with Marketing on products for photoshoots
- Perform adhoc buying administrative tasks
- Research emerging styles
- Support buying team to select and curate future buys
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed buying decisions
- Share insights and ideas to elevate product range
- Collaborate with planning team contributing to product selections
