Job Description

The University of South Africa (UNISA) offers a 12-month internship in the Institutional Advancement Department, focusing on web graphic design. Interns will create web content, design UI/UX layouts, and produce brand-aligned visuals for digital platforms, contributing to UNISA’s public image. This programme provides mentorship and practical workplace experience for unemployed South African graduates passionate about design.

Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or Multimedia Design (NQF Level 6 or above)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Canva, or other graphic design tools
  • Unemployed South African citizen
  • No formal work experience in the field of application
  • No previous participation in an internship programme at UNISA or any other organization
  • Age not older than 35 years
  • UNISA graduate in the required field of study
  • Ability to provide certified copies (not older than 6 months) of South African ID, Matric Certificate, Academic Record, and UNISA qualification

Responsibilities

  • Design web content for digital platforms
  • Create UI/UX layouts for UNISA’s online presence
  • Produce brand-aligned visuals, including banners
  • Contribute to UNISA’s public image through design
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team
  • Ensure designs meet brand guidelines and quality standards
  • Participate in mentorship and professional development activities
