Job Description

The University of South Africa (UNISA) offers a 12-month internship in the Institutional Advancement Department, focusing on social media. Interns will create content, monitor analytics, support campaigns, and produce visual content, contributing to UNISA’s public engagement. This programme provides mentorship and practical workplace experience for unemployed South African graduates passionate about digital media.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communication, or Digital Media (NQF Level 6 or above)
• Skills in Graphic Design Software and basic Social Media Management
• Unemployed South African citizen
• No formal work experience in the field of application
• No previous participation in an internship programme at UNISA or any other organization
• Age not older than 35 years
• UNISA graduate in the required field of study
• Ability to provide certified copies (not older than 6 months) of South African ID, Matric Certificate, Academic Record, and UNISA qualification

Responsibilities

• Create social media content for UNISA platforms
• Monitor social media analytics to track performance
• Support social media campaign initiatives
• Produce visual content for digital platforms
• Contribute to UNISA’s public engagement through social media
• Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team
• Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines
• Participate in mentorship and professional development activities
