Job Description
The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Corporate Services branch, is seeking a Graduate Intern for a 24-month fixed-term contract in the HRM&D Office of the Director. The role provides administrative support to HR management and development at the Pretoria Head Office. Due to the high volume of applications anticipated, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
Requirements
- National diploma in Management Assistant
- No previous service as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service
- All qualifications subject to verification
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
- Subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HRM&D Director
- Assist in coordinating HR projects and initiatives
- Manage documentation and records for HR processes
- Support communication between HR teams and management
- Prepare reports and presentations for HR activities
- Ensure compliance with administrative protocols
