Job Description

MAN Automotive (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Durban to carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and ensure adherence to MAN specifications, workshop safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 Matric Certificate
• N1 and above with required subjects: Maths, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory
• Pro-active, highly motivated, and attentive to detail
• Ability to work independently while being a team player
• Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused with a results-driven approach
• Experience in a similar role in the automotive industry - 1 year

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults through troubleshooting
• Carry out servicing and repairs efficiently
• Conduct road tests on repaired vehicles when required
• Ensure compliance with workshop quality, safety, and security procedures
• Report any faults beyond those listed on the job card
• Conduct servicing according to MAN specifications and service sheets
• Work accurately and efficiently to achieve required productivity standards
