Graduate Intern: Demand, Acquisition & Contract Management

Job Description

The Department of Higher Education and Training is inviting applications for its 2025/2027 Graduate Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme. This programme aims to provide work exposure to graduates and WIL students in their relevant field of studies. This specific position, with reference number DHET/CFO/2025/02, is a fixed 24-month contract within the CFO Branch, focusing on Demand, Acquisition & Contract Management.

Requirements

• National diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Public Procurement.
• Must be unemployed in the Public Services or have never participated in any Internship programme.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must have satisfied the academic requirements for the advertised field of study.
• Applicants who have previously served as a Graduate Intern or contract worker in the Public Service will not be considered.
• Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

Responsibilities

• Provide work exposure to graduates and WIL students in their relevant field of studies.
• Assist with general administrative and office management tasks.
• Support team members with ongoing projects and tasks.
• Conduct research and compile information as needed.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate project progress and challenges with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the overall goals of the CFO Branch.
