Data Analyst

Job Description

THE SKILLS MINE is looking for a Data Analyst with experience in data-driven decision making, reporting, and analytics. The role requires expertise in dashboard tools and statistical methods to support operational efficiency. The analyst will collaborate with workforce management and HR teams to track attendance, optimize staffing, and escalate anomalies in real time.

Requirements

• Certification in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years working experience
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision making
• Experience with data visualisation and dashboard tools (Power BI, ZOHO)
• Ability to conduct trend and statistical analysis to identify patterns and insights
• Strong knowledge of Excel including advanced functions and pivot tables
• Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) platforms
• Experience with Profit, Velocity, SAP, or similar operational systems (advantageous)
• Skills in Data Analysis, Excel, Power BI, SAP, SAP BI, and Statistical Analysis

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance in real-time by comparing actual vs. planned hours and analysing variances such as overtime, absenteeism, understaffing, and rostering inefficiencies
• Identify attendance trends and propose actionable insights
• Collaborate with the workforce management team to adjust rosters and staffing based on data insights for better efficiency and alignment with client needs
• Raise immediate escalations when actual attendance deviates from the plan
• Escalate absence and lateness issues to the Workforce Management team for coordination with HR
