Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Business Analysis
• Grade 12 National Certificate
• At least 3 years of proven experience in drafting functional specifications
• BI Business Analysis, data design, and systems analysis experience in a data and analytics environment
• Experience in stakeholder engagement for the purpose of identifying and specifying business requirements
• Experience liaising between business and functional stakeholders; translating requirements
• Business Information Business Analysis experience in a finance/banking environment (nice to have)
• Exposure to a credit environment (nice to have)
• Knowledge of relevant business areas

Responsibilities

• Lead the collection and documentation of business and technical requirements from stakeholders
• Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Design and propose data models, including process models, specifications, and architecture, and collaborate with developers on data solutions
• Liaise with developers, vendors, and IT teams to ensure data models are accurately implemented
• Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and quality assurance
• Support the deployment and integration of new data models or enhancements
• Provide expert-level support and maintenance for existing data models
• Proactively identify opportunities for data model improvements and enhancements
• Implement updates and improvements to existing data models as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive data model documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process diagrams
• Conduct training sessions and provide advanced support to end-users and stakeholders on data model functionalities and best practices
