Salesworx is seeking a Sales Consultant for Laparoscopy and Surgical Stapling in Pretoria. The role focuses on selling Laparoscopy, Surgical, and Surgimed products, maintaining and growing existing business, and expanding sales within the assigned territory. The candidate will network with hospital stakeholders, manage consignment stock, and drive marketing initiatives to achieve sales targets while adhering to ethical standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) minimum requirement
- Relevant degree or diploma (advantageous)
- Medical-management or marketing qualification (advantageous)
- Theatre-based selling experience
- Laparoscopy and Emergency Medical Devices product knowledge (advantageous)

Responsibilities
- Sell Laparoscopy, Surgical, and Surgimed products to meet sales targets
- Maintain and grow existing business within the assigned territory
- Expand sales through new customer acquisition
- Schedule and attend appointments with existing and potential customers
- Demonstrate products to clinical personnel
- Complete weekly planner and activity reports for submission to the direct manager
- Network with and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Manage consignment stock and boot stock, including rotation and expiration monitoring
- Request and follow up on quotations
- Perform general administration tasks associated with the position
- Record all activities on Force Manager CRM
- Assist the National Product Manager with journal clubs, workshops, VISTA meetings, and conferences
- Support Sales Managers with sales budgeting per territory
- Implement tactical and strategic plans effectively
- Conduct marketing activities, including congresses, customer workshops, and educational events
- Make daily calls to customers and new prospects
- Promote all products offered by the client effectively
- Demonstrate sales knowledge to sell product features and benefits
- Evaluate, analyze, and report on competitors’ products and drive business responses
- Establish a network with hospital stakeholders, including physicians and key opinion leaders
- Build and maintain strong relations with customers, payers, government, and employees
- Gather customer requirements in cooperation with Sales Managers
- Assist with successful congresses and training workshops
- Utilize customer profiling and mapping tools to grow product families
- Identify customers for product training to ensure ROI
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets
- Handle daily Ariba/Trade World, tender input, and quote requests
- Submit expense claims on time with correct cost allocations
- Submit monthly reports to the Sales Manager by the 5th of each month
- Submit weekly call reports and planners via Force Manager
- Comply with regulatory SOPs, SA regulations, and Code of Business Ethics
- Maintain the company’s ethical position and manage business conduct policies
- Maintain high motivation to implement marketing functions
- Prepare and conduct presentations at sales and management meetings
- Assist Sales Managers with product queries or technical/clinical application information
- Manage portfolio by living company values
- Identify and implement educational events for customers
- Train new customers on the product range as directed
- Participate in company business and sales meetings
- Plan and attend congresses as needed
- Adhere to group credit policies and procedures
- Manage company expenses within the marketing budget
- Inform management of changed legal or medical requirements
