Job Description

Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) is hiring nine RUS Operators to manage rostering and resource allocation for Air Traffic Services (ATS). The role involves creating and maintaining rosters, handling tactical roster changes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Operators will engage with stakeholders, maintain communication, and perform administrative tasks to support operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• ATM Core Content
• At least 2 years’ experience within Air Traffic Services (ATS)
• Knowledge of rostering principles and ATS regulatory guidelines
• ATS Rating (advantageous)
• Call center qualifications (advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Create and populate unit and pool rosters per guidelines
• Engage with Licensing Coordinators to ensure current licensing information
• Issue roster request submission dates and consider individual requests
• Publish rosters four weeks before the cycle start
• Engage Line Management on staff requests during planning
• Ensure licensed personnel meet regulatory requirements
• Attend to calls, messages, and emails at the RUS call desk
• Activate shifts to ensure appropriate manning
• Communicate shift shortages to Line Management
• Update the ATS resourcing platform with roster requests
• Engage Line Managers for roster changes and shift swaps
• Inform IT of system failures and advise ATS departments
• Update and maintain sick leave reports and RUS logs
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Act as custodian for ATNS Quality Procedure
• Monitor and follow up on Continuous Improvement Reports
• Order, distribute, and control stationery
• Take and transcribe meeting minutes
• Process mail and manage couriered packages
• Perform other administrative tasks as instructed
