Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

Softsure, part of Badger Holdings, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their growing team in George, South Africa. This role involves designing and implementing test strategies, executing manual and exploratory testing across multiple platforms and devices, creating and maintaining test cases and results, performing regression and system audits to identify bugs, and integrating QA into every step of the software development lifecycle. The position requires effective communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment with global insurance partners.

Requirements

• Practical experience writing and executing tests using modern testing libraries
• Familiarity with programming frameworks and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps
• Strong attention to detail
• Continuous learning mindset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Proactive and curious attitude
• 3+ years of relevant experience in software testing (bonus)
• Relevant certification such as ISTQB or degree in a technical field (bonus)
• Experience with test automation (bonus)
• Familiarity or interest in AI-powered testing tools and quality engineering trends (bonus)

Responsibilities
